CCSL Elementary School (Grades K-4)
Our school is proud to offer an engaging and developmentally appropriate Math curriculum for students in Grades K–4. We use a variety of instructional platforms that help students build strong math foundations through hands-on, interactive learning experiences. These tools allow students to explore math concepts in meaningful ways while developing confidence and problem-solving skills.
What is ST Math?
ST Math is a visual, game-based instructional program that helps students learn math through problem-solving and critical thinking. Using animations and puzzles rather than words alone, ST Math allows students to see how math works and develop a deeper conceptual understanding.
Our school is proud to be part of the ST Math Grant Program, which means ST Math is now an integral part of our K–5 math curriculum. Students have designated times during the school day to work on ST Math, ensuring consistent practice and growth in mathematical thinking. We also participate in Community Competitions with schools across Massachusetts and within our own grade levels to encourage motivation, engagement, and excitement around math learning.
What is SAVVAS?
SAVVAS enVision Math supports classroom instruction by reinforcing daily lessons through interactive games, videos, and activities. After learning a new concept, students use SAVVAS to practice and apply their skills in fun, engaging ways. The program focuses on real-world problem-solving and helps students strengthen their understanding through visual models and hands-on learning experiences.
Together, ST Math and SAVVAS provide a balanced, engaging approach to math instruction that supports the needs of all learners in Grades K–4, helping students build confidence and a love for math.
