1st First Grade

  • Your child will learn to solve basic math problems involving adding and subtracting numbers up to 20. They will also understand and use fundamental rules of how addition and subtraction work.

  • Your child will practice counting up to 120 and learn the importance of each digit's position in a number (like how in 120, the '1' stands for 100). They will use different methods and examples to understand these concepts.

  • Your child will be taught step by step to tackle math challenges. They'll learn to keep trying different ways to solve a problem until they find the right solution, which helps them become more confident in handling math questions.

  • Your child will learn to spot and understand patterns in numbers, like how adding two even numbers always gives an even result. Recognizing these patterns helps them guess what might come next in a math problem, making math feel more like solving a puzzle.
